folks it don't mater to me if we goof up on the net

I strongly disagree with that opinion, wdyat12, for it interferes with one feature of the web that I enjoy a lot, namely the possibility to refind old information. I wouldn't mind at all in a PM and I do not mind at all in BS posts but I do mind in those parts of this forum that are dedicated to information.
I once searched for a long time an old thread about the Chieftains and didn't find it easily because the group was spelled 'Cheiftans' in the thread title. Same when I was looking for the song 'Farewell to the Rhondda' and knew it was posted but didn't find it because the thread title spelled 'Rhnda'.
When I'd try to find this thread in a couple of months I might still recollect it was about 'proofreading' but I'd have a hard time refinding it with that spelling.
So if you think what you write is instantly forgettable forget about spelling too, however, if you think someone might want to read your thoughts again weeks, months or years later, care about your spelling.

Wolfgang
