FURTHERMORE (and driftin' away from the main theme, as is my wont) - how should the word 'Bodhran' be pronounced? I've heard people at our club pronounce it many ways, including "BO-rran", or "Bo-RRAN" (stress on the capitals) but I saw a programme on the haunted fish-bowl a while back about the history of the Bodhran, and every one of the many Irish expert players called it the "Bow-Ron" (pronounced 'Bow' as in Bend From The Waist, and 'Ron' as in.... well, Ron! Anybody got the definitive answer? ('Ere comes another argument!) JB
