Where I come from (Montreal) Smoked meat IS A RELIGION! (And not my religion I might add)...even Goys will get into heated arguments about the merits of Ben's, Dunn's, Schwartz's etc. You can come close in Toronto at a couple (only) of Delis but it ain't the same. However........the best sandwich I EVER had was at a little Italian place on Clinton st. here: Hero bun, veal cutlet (fried) and tomato sauce. They've become a chain so faggedaboudit. My fantasy sandwich is the Lobster bun as described by Kendall, but I only had one once, mmmmmmmm As far as anything we make at home, Heather shows that "British touch" and does a lot of mashed banana stuff. Me? Grilled cheese. Rick
