Out here in Oz, our ABC started running the original Doctor Who series at 6.00pm Monday to Thursday (family prime time) about three weeks back - starting with the very first. And not before time.......... It's great to see them again, and the Doctor may very well be a sixties icon, but oh dear, the old cardboard and string special effects don't stand up too well these days.

I'll be interested to see how long it takes us to get a brand new series down-under. Usually the automatic taste-oriented anti-gravity system seems to cut in and stop anything half-decent trickling down the globe while letting the garbage through.
