The Stan Rogers tape is truly beautiful. The part that I find the most moving is about Mary Ellen Carter. A sailor from the Maritime Provinces tells of his experience in a small inflatable lifeboat after a svere storm hit the ship he was on. He was in the lifeboat for many hours in very rough and dangerous waters. He clung to hope and life by thinking of, "Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again..." There is so much emotion in his face and voice as he tells the story. I cry every time I see it.
