Right after Ken Burns' Civil War series popularized "Ashokan Farewell" by using it as a major theme, the phone company ran an ad using what was probably a specially-composed tune that sounded a lot like "Ashokan Farewell" but wasn't. I suspect Jay Unger wouldn't let them use the original.
