After opening the presents (Harvey Andrew's rcollection of pillow cases,oranges and string bags of chocolate coins brings it all back), I recall years of watching Leslie Crowther (and was it Peter Lowe ?) on the BBC handing out presents on Christmas morning at one of the Children Hospitals. My Father had a 'tradition' of drinking a can of Pale Ale on Christmas morning which he would share with my brother and I. Forty on and when I am able to be at home for Christmas I still buy and drink a can of Pale Ale on Christmas morning and share it with my children.
