Being a newbie to recording I'd be grateful for any ideas on this tech problem:
I'm successfully loading (via jack-to-jack) minidisc recordings to my PC and sound editing them. Exporting them again to minidisc (via jack-to-jack) produces terrible sound quality (and I need "broadcast quality")
(I'm going to purchase a CDR drive ... but I'd like the option to make minidisc recordings as well).
The Sony/PC shops are a bit puzzled - otherwise want to sell me an new MDR or expensive software* - and exhausted their knowledge with an optical jack to optical square cable (designed for HiFi to MDR).
This doesn't fit the computer (bit old - WIN 98 but with USB ports) -
Is there an adapter for the optical cable? Is there a better/different type of cable I can get? Many thanks Nem
*The software price being quoted is GBP99.00 .. a bit steep compared to the cost of a new MDR .. !
