Some years back (around 1983) I did a couple of posters for myself of "Murphy's Laws of Folk Music". I keep meaning to put them up on my Web site. But one of the first on the list was: No one makes any money out of folk music except the telephone company. -- It's not of course really true. I made a living myself for something like six years. But it's much easier to make a living as a writer -- and most writers struggle. wg
