It is extremely cold all over the north east coast. Yesterday here ( hitby, Ontario) it was -22 but almost -35 with the wind chill. Up in Ottawa it was - 40 and I heard from a friend in Fort Vermillion Alberta a few nights back - it was -61. That is damn cold. So what do I do when it gets this cold - I go fishing. Tonight I will be drilling holes all over Lake Scugog and hopefully have a few nice fresh Walleye on the pan around about midnight. I would not change this for all the hot weather spots in the world.
I do feel for the homeless, although the Ontario Government has opened an old armoury and will fit it out with cots and sleeping bags for the ones who want to come inside. I believe about 10 homeless people have died in Toronto so far this year, many of them don't want to sleep inside ?.
