Cusco | Origins: what is yoiking? (23) | RE: Origins: what is yoiking? | 23 Jan 04 |
In Lancashire (and indeed in many other parts of England) yoiking is still athriving tradition. mainly practised on Friday and Saturday nights it often (though not exclusively) includes the use of a large white yoiking bowl. Various ceremonies precede the act of yoiking. They are usually quite specific to the individual/locality. In my area the yoiking is usually follows copious quantities of Robinsons and a Madarse or Vindaloo. If not too many lamposts are kissed in the ensuing perambulations the final act of yoiking will be carried out in the comforts of ones own yoiking chamber. |
