Thanks to everyone. If any of you have ever seen the Andy Griffith Show, this place would be a music store like you would find in Mayberry. I've operated several businesses for several years, but never a retail operation (fuel oil business, real estate, home building, HVAC company). I'm looking for a small (labor of love) to do in my retiremnt. I've got an old house, in a business district, on the main street, with a traffic count of about 8000 cars a day. I've used the house as an office for about 12 years. There is a retaurant on one side (40 years in operation), a spa on the other (relatively new), and a church, post office, and bank across the street. It's a 1300 sq. ft. white, one story building, white picket fences, sidewalks, pretty yard, huge trees. The house is sixty years old. Plenty of parking. The whole area is in the process of being "gentrified," with major investments in the community, street-scaping, commercial development. I already run the local jams in the area, the traditional music society, promote festivals, etc. This would not need to generate much income. Just a place for musicians to hangout, new musicians to be encouraged, have jams, etc. Wilco in East Tennessee!!!!
