Hi Kat - you asked for the meaning and origin of the word "arohanui". It is a New Zealand Maori term. Aroha means Love, and nui - big. The latter is not so much in size but importance. It is a word imbued with spirituality. Arohanui could then be a gift to be given - warm and enveloping as in te korowai aroha -the cloak of love. Ana
