We recorded an Australian version in 1985 for the Melbourne Maritime Museum. It was published years ago by Allans Music but with only a few changes it's almost the same as a Scottish version I have heard. I read once that there were 64 languages in which the song was sung and during the tying up of the ship, sailors would sing a verse frrom their country in their language. I can't remember the reference now but the writer talked about a ship he was on which was unusual in that as they were tying up in Melbourne, the song was sung in sixteen languages.
