I like that grass roots resurgence in the sixties that Brian mentioned, and didn't understand until reading this thread and following some of the links about the origins of the idea.

I guess the web and our various sites and pages might be our contemporary twist of those Broadsides. Except today we have the advantage of so much more technology at our fingertips and a much larger audience to reach because of those advances.
