Perhaps I should have said, People who are (or perceive themselves to be) lucky & People who are (or perceive themselves to be) unlucky. Perception aside, there is also the factor of random chance. Bad shit does happen, sometimes arbitrarily. Good shit, too. There is such a thing as an innocent bystander. I'm a firm believer in luck. Then again, I've been extraordinarily lucky.
