Hey, we haven't had any privacy for at least 20 years. Any major marketer worth its salt knows more about me than I do, and I get all warm anf cuddly thinking about how much my government cares about me and my actions. Or comments. We can't keep them from finding out whatever they want to find out, though it's more than appropriate to throw whatever little roadblocks we can in their way. But we need to do some serious thinking about the protocols, etiquette, and basic philosophy of living in a world without privacy. "If you have nothing to hide, don't worry" is not sufficient.
