I was in Galway about 10 years ago and landed in the Crane more by luck than management... both the music & the singing were belting!! I also stayed in Kinvarra for a few days... I remember one night being in the Owd Plaid Shawl... Dolores Keane was there & I was invited to join a few people including Dolores for a few drinks & tunes after the pub shut.. The whole holiday was wonderful... I bought a cassette of Dolores to remind me of the experience... I can't say the flaxen haired maiden on the cover of the cassette looked much like Dolores after a few gins!!
