It's funny to think of the idea that if a Canadian club won the Cup that it's be a "Canadian" victory. I mean, Canadians make up a percentage of all NHL teams, regardless of which city they're in. On top of that, all teams have today playesrs from the U.S., Canada and Eastern Europe. I understad why a city is happy with a win (Tampa/St. Pete had approx. 5000 fans watching the game OUTSIDE the arena last night) that makes sense, but to me it's odd that Canada wishes a "Canadian" win. Sometimes the teams aren't even owned by a local person (for instance, the owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning also owns the NBA Detroit Pistons. What say you all?
