(1)The CD 'Los Super 7' is mainly Tex-Mex, but most of the songs are older Mexican songs, many which the musicians remembered from their childhoods. Check out the "SingOut!" web site. The most recent issue has a big article on this CD, along with some songs. (2)One song I always teach my fourth grade students is "Cielito Lindo". I don't know how remote the village is, but this is such a widely known song that it can always get a response. The Hispanic children in my class all seem to be familiar with the song, and I get lots of response from parents who are happy their children are learning the song.
