For those of you travelling to France, I suggest you look for the "CELTIC HANGOVER", a Celtic folk rock band, with Irish and French musicians. Talented, energetic, they play/sing beautifully on stage but above all they really know how to communicate with their audience, take time to explain the text of the songs (as most of the audience is French), always with a good sense of humour. Both traditional and original. Based in the Alps, they often play in a pub in Aix-les-Bains, the "Murphy's". I think they play all over France/Europe but mainly in the South East of France. If you don't get to see them on stage, check their website http://membres.lycos.fr/celtichangover/ (available in English and French)where you can download this wonderful piece for fiddle and drums "Tamuriatta", and listen to their version of "Tipping it up to Nancy", "Star of the county Down" or to one of their own compositions such as "Get your head together" at http://stage.vitaminic.fr/main/celtic_hangover/all_tracks/ What do you think ?
