I agree Bill. The problem is mainly with religions which insist that they have a monopoly on the truth...(avoids trying to work out a definition of Truth - not enough hours in the day!). Many of the fundamentalist versions of Christianity - including the evangelical and proselytising sects - cannot admit this. In the UK we have an established church which, to be politically correct and liberal, wants dialogue with other faiths (of which there are now many in an increasingly multi-cultural Britain) but also can't stomach sitting down with some who it disagrees with.
