Dateline: 17th September, the place: Ridley Park Hotel, Blyth Northumberland: Friday was a great night out, with Ron pulling in some 'friends of friends' and a reasonable turn-out enjoyed a grand night of wit, wicked humour and music to suite all tastes, as prommised! His rendition of 'ye cannae throw a piece oot a 20 story flat' went down a storm in the first bit, although my personal fave' in this bit was 'Ma Hindu-stani Granny' which nearly caused me to have a 'wee' accident! Songs and stories flowed like the Clyde from his lips, (not unlike a certain Mr Connely who worked in the same ship-yard), and as the set went on, so more and more folk came to peek round the alcove from the bar. He started the 2nd bit with a wee bit of fiddle playing, then continued to slay us with his stories and music, for me in this bit, I liked 'Same Old Songs' and Kim loved 'Heart of Glasgow'. For those who couldn't make it, you missed a good night, (and thanks for your appologies), to those who did not bother coming... yah boo sucks! Clubs... BOOK HIM! CLICK TO MAIL RON (no website yet!)
