Video games! Now that is a dimension I would not have figured on, Jerry! It seems to me life on the web is sort of like knowing people at work, or at music sessions, or in a painting class. You may know some things about them that even close friends don't know, but this particular vein of friendship tends to run an inch wide and a mile deep. I know very well your love of jazz, your kindness and generosity, your song writing and performing talent, even your philosophical bent. But I never for a minute think I really "know" you as I would if we hung out in the 3D world. In some ways, the narrower focus here is a help. It's not always possible, for me anyway, living out in the boonies, to be able to strike up or join in a discussion on The Muse, say, or the origin of some folk song, with 3D friends. I like being able to know you, and how you think and feel, through your posts, even if only in 2 dimensions. Besides, this way every once in a while I get a surprise that makes me smile. Video games!
