Is Tony Joe White, the writer of " Polk Salad Annie" and " Ivar Lee and Roosevelt" still alive and /or kicking? He made 1/2 of a great LP in the sixties that I treasure, but can't find his name, discography places I look. Not listed in Goldmine's compendium of everything on vinyl, but since Elvis recorded "Polk Salad", he must be famous to someone. Thinking about this stuff wakes me up at 4:30 a.m.
