Sad to see the 'fRoots' magazine has a report in the latest issue saying "plans to relaunch the Sidmouth festival are now seriously under threat." The magazine criticises the council for cutting funding but reports on the October 23 meeting by saying some individuals still hope to organise some small-scale dances and sessions. Coming after the 'Living Tradition' magazine report also questioning whether anything worthwhile can be kept going in Sidmouth it appears our media partners are deserting us. I hope Eddie Upton and Folk South West can still salvage something from the Sidmouth shambles but it seems the tide may be flowing against us.
