Hi Guys, I have spent hours and hours on this site recently, trawling the forums and the DT finding out loads of information both usefull and useless,
I come to the following conclusion:
The Mudcat Cafe is playing a major, if quiet part, in the preservation and re juvination of folk music across the globe, wich makes me wonder one thing
Who was the bright kid sat down one day and said, "I have an idea for a website" my ramblings lead me back to 1996, was this when this site started? Did the creators know then, the huge platform they were creating for folk music? and basically how it went from not existing to being a huge huge resource for singers and musicans from all over. And of course, how it's name was decided.

May I on behalf of all of us, congratulate those involved in this site for their excellent acievement.
I await your info.
