This topic has come up before in a variety of threads. I thought it might be useful to see if we could compile a list in one place. So, what songs did you think were oldies from the distant and/or undocumentable folk tradition that turned out to be recently composed? Two that I know were mentioned in past threads: Mairi's Wedding Ook Pik Red Clay Halo by Welch/Rawlings is the song that made me start the thread. Roseville Fair and Ole Jack by Bill Staines are two more that come to mind. V
