Is it possible in Great Britain (am I using the right term??) to avoid local programming completely? I mean, by subscribing to a satellite broadcasting service? Or a cablevision service? I subscribe to a cable service for a monthly fee. As a Canadian, I must say I find the idea of paying for a license to own a Television to be an odd one. Variety the spice of life, I suppose! RichM
