for some weird reason, what used to be called "plumcots" soon after they were invented are now sold as "pluots" in some parts of the US... I love fruit in season that is locally grown; so here that means apples (Macouns!), peaches, raspberries and pears...and in winter, I tend to eat a lot of grapefuits, tangerines, oranges, clementines, etc. from Florida... I also love fresh pineapple when it's ripe...
