So we are admitting here the generation whos credo was "turn on, tune in and drop out". In effect; copped out and finished their education and bought the whole post war ideal of the wife and kids, and white picket fence they were rebelling against. And they use Beatle songs on Nike ads and make films about teenage angst (just like they did in the 50s) and own stocks and shares in GLOBAL Companies and spend endless hours reminiscing about a time that was only cool for musicians and artists because everyone else was, at best/worst in a drug enduced stupor. But as Ringo said "The Beatles when stoned only ever produced rubbish. But when they were straight they were the best band on earth." The labels are simply a process of disemination and some wear their badges with pride and others shy away and deny ever participating because to be successful "it's lonely at the top". Ask Mick Jagger (multimillionare) and Paul McCartney (billionaire) they achieved what they set out to do and have the spoils but what about the sheep ( how ya doin' man? ). Another flashpoint maybe? Happy New Year. Sidewinder.
