I think Wellingtons must be getting trendy, as I have seen them all over the shoe stores here, in many pretty colors and patterns. Of course it might just be here, I've never been in Edinburgh before. It rains non-stop. I should ask my friends back in sunny California if they are all over the stores there. I used to have galoshes when I was little, and those went over my shoes. I never heard people say Wellingtons until I got here, but I have no idea what I would have called them before. Probably "rubber boot thingies that you wear but not over shoes"
