In "Where Songs do Thunder" (Belfast: Appletree, 1991) Paddy Tunney calls the song Geaftaí Bhaile Atha Buí, and his translation of it The Banks of Ballaghbuoy. The theory that the song refers to Athboy, Co Meath is as good as any.
