*Correction* Jean plays the Resignation tune on a different CD, not the Mudcat CD. And I'm glad Q clarified that JJN info. I never know what to do about him. There are many other ballads (Child Ballads, etc) that are sung in the Appalachians, but not originating there. ie. Barbara Allen (Barbry Ellen) Jean has an entire tape of Child Ballads in the Appalachians.
