I am looking for this song, (i assume it's the correct title) but in the DT it's down as, "there's a ship lies rick and ready in the harbour...." The song i'm chasing goes something like.. Dearest mother, i am writing just to say i won't be home There is something i must do,that i must do alone, As i sit here in the silence of my lonely prison cell as i write my final letter I bid my last farerwell (chourus) So say goodbye to margret Mary, Bridgit and Mee-haul ( < Don't know irish spelling for Michael) I have no words to tell you How much i love you all ......................... ......................... as i write this final letter I bid my last farewell. Any one can point me to, or post the words I would be gratefull. Also any info on the history and story of the song would be of interest.
