"Trois," (Anglisized first as "Troy"), but, nevertheless the source of "Trey" meaning , "Third" Quite certain of this, as "Trey," or "Tray," is a common nickname in parts of the south, for humans who happen to be named " the Third." My father was a "Third" who didn't let himself be called "Trey," by anyone, but he made my poor brother a Fourth, just the same! Always had a better memory than mental spelling dictionary. Didn't mean to be stupid. Oh, Dear Max, since you intend to keep this stuff for posterity, PLEASE give us some means to "preview" and clean up our messes before we go public and humiliate ourselves like this! Shula
