Not long before his untimely death, Elvis Presley was playing Las Vegas and in the middle of this song, he noticed "...two bald-headed men..." sitting together in the audience. On impulse, he changed
"...Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare? Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there..."
to
"...Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare? Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair...".
This cracked him up so much (possibly enhanced by his prescription drugs) that he could not stop laughing, for the nearly 2 minutes left of the song!

On this thread, does anyone know if this "Bald version" is available to buy? Oldies stations play it. I want it.
