I always thought Herman Munster was rather cute, anyway. And Fred Gwynne was a truly beloved actor for many Americans. So why this resemblance should hurt Kerry is a mystery to me. LH, my point is Kerry was never ACCEPTED by "the society" at large. I'd be willing to argue that there is no such thing as the society at large. Those folks who voted Bush still prefer Bush, those who voted Kerry still prefer Kerry, and it was a pretty even split. Bush was discarded like a used Bic by his detractors years ago, and Kerry has been too. Bush happens to still be president, and Kerry still a Senator, and Kerry will probably win his seat again if he runs again. So I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you mean the media, then yes, we have a big problem there. They discard people for whatever reason, then make sure the voters discard them too.
