Hi and thanks for all the info in this thread. I have played banjo & guitar fr best part of 50 years but have experienced increasing difficulties caused by arthritis and various other unpronouncable conditions. However, I have found that the best way to keep playing is just that KEEP PLAYING but adjust style & arm psition to suit. As most of the pain comes after playing a gig, I am prepared with pain killers and exercises beforehand. Once again, it is most important to keep playing and adapting to accomodate diability.
