It was a very interesting program. A lot of well-known performers either started or got a good boost from those stations. I really only know of one, that from Del Rio, Texas. I can still hear the announcer saying it Del RI-o, Texas with the emphasis on the second syllable.
By the way, the author of the book, who was featured on the show, mentioned a restaurant in Acuna, Mexico. He referred to it as "Ma Crosby's and said Ma Crosby was one of the owners of the station there. (Ciudad Acuna is across the border from Del Rio, Texas). I've eaten at Crosby's but never heard it referred to as Ma Crosby's. Good restaurant. Good food, attractive place.
