As someone who partakes regularly in Folk Missionary Work (When we go on the Canals we sing/play in the pubs whenever we can) we get a very positive response from 'the locals' who are often surprised that the music they are enjoying is 'Folk' ! Too many people are still convinced that 'Folk' is either boring singer/songwriters or nasal finger in ear stuff !
