Rory's Strat made Stevie Ray Vaughan's look brand new. LOL.

The one time that I saw Rory live was on the strangest bill I have ever seen. Late seventies, Toronto's Exhibition Stadium. Rory Gallagher followed by Rick Derringer; Aerosmith was the closing act. But in between Derringer and Aerosmith was Henry Gross who had just had a hit with "Shannnon" the schmaltzy song about the dog who drowned. He was not very warmly received.
