Hi Folks, For anyone in the Northeast U. S. looking ahead to the fall concert season, the Kossoy Sisters will be performing at the Branford Folk Music Society Coffeehouse in Branford, Connecticut on Saturday, September 10, 2005. Here's the publicity info: The Kossoy Sisters - Irene Saletan and Ellen Christenson - performed at the first Newport Folk Festival, sang in the original production of Woody Guthrie's "Bound For Glory" and recorded their classic album "Bowling Green" for the legendary Tradition Records (now available on CD). They resumed performing in 1997 and in 2001, the Coen Brothers included the Kossoy Sisters version of "I'll Fly Away" in their movie, "O Brother, Where Art Thou". Now the sisters bring their love of traditional music and their clear, bell-like harmonies to the Branford Folk Music Society to kick off the society's 2005-06 concert series.
