Margaret MacArthur, Your new CD of ballads is just grand---as always. And the 'family chorus' sounds beautiful. CONGRATULATIONS Margmac !!!! And thank you for sending it to me. It's spinning as we speak. People, if you're new to this thing we call folk in these latter days, you ought to know that Margaret MacArthur is a treasured singer of the ballads---mostly of Vermont but all over too. The story songs come alive in her hands. And her backup (Appalachien dulcimer) is gorgeous, tasteful and thoroughly right---the best way to highlight the epic tales that Margaret is telling.
