You may also find that, having sung the song unaccompanied, you should continue to do just that! I sing many more songs that way now than I used to. It's partly because you aren't imposing a harmony on your audience (no chords for them to 'force-fit' with if singing along)and partly because you can vary the rhythm to add dynamic to the song. If it's an older traditional song it might also be in a mode that doesn't 'sit well' with guitar chords anyway. Jack Beck
