First heard Kelly-Joe in the early 90's while working at Silver Mountain Ski Resort. Steven Stills was the headliner for one of our Summer Concerts. The lead in band, Too Slim and the Tail Draggers,canceled but Recommended KJP. I was wandering about by the mountain house when I heard beautiful slide guitar coming from a sound check in the amphitheater.
When I went to see who it was, there was Kelly-joe with an old Gibson flat-top on his lap playing astounding music. Got to talk to him after the concert and got a promo kit from him ( with an extra tape for myself).Sent it to Charlie Cran at Strawberry Music.
   We finally booked him for the Festival where he pt on an amazing show. Had a chance for a long talk with him there, and found him to be very personable.
He is also a very spiritual person and it really reflects in his music.
