If the advice is to do nothing then it is a form of Pasive/Agresive behaviourism (god I hate myself for spouting this pscycobable) Maybe the "way" is to take note of all arguements and form your own opinion, whilst being prepaired to accept that you may be wrong As a great man once said "may your God go with you"
