Re. the Canadian medical system, why do I read stories about people w coming to the US for surgery because the wait is so long in Canada. Do they actually practice triage there? I've heard that if someone is past a certain age, their level of medical care drops. Is this true? I know that on the Isle of Man, which is under the British system, the wait time for cataract surgery is one year. In that length of time, the eyesight can suffer permanant damage. My wife just had both eyes operated on for cataracts, within the time recommended by her doctor. Her vision is now better than when she was a child. I pity those who are living under a system that puts the bottom line ahead of the patients health. troll
