Little Hawk:

Serious question (as I respect your integrity and consistency)

Supreme court is important to me as they sometimes make decisions that override the votes of the people.   If you can't win an election, you can still get your way through the courts. I have a big problem with that.

Does the Harper election mean anything to you or do you consider all politicians basically useless?

I imagine that the Alito election to you is like the Harper election to me. The only difference is that Canadians seem to pay more attention to american politics than they do to Canadian politics.   On a Jack Astors porch in London Ontario 20 Canadians couldn't even name the last name of the premier when Eaves was in office.   On the other hand, I wouldn't take a bet that 20 Michiganders would be able to name the last name of our governor at an Applebees restaurant.

I was just curious for your take.
