We were gutted mate.
It just got more obvious as the day went on that it would be foolish to bring ourselves and our coughs to the FC.
I was looking forward especialy to hearing WWW I think they improve every time they play at the FC which is another positive in your favour.
When I went to the Dante Ferrararararara ? web site for a look I was realy taken with the idea of a proper minstrel performing to a modern audience, what a brilliant idea.
There was a bit of a fad for the use of contemporary instuments in music a few years ago that seems to have receded to the background again.
I actually like most types, genres of music if it manages to be original.
I suppose that is what I like about hearing new songs from your army of artistes. As well as the old standards, and hearing old ones for the first time,as I often do at the folk club.
There is a chap called Dougie Chadwick who is a Mud Catter. He plays at the Tap and Spile in Grimsby and without fail he reproduces songs and tunes from the twenties thirties and fourties on his patched up old guitar, and without fail I am moved by his performance and obvious love of what he does.
I never met a nicer more unassuming bloke than Dougie.
I know I am rambling (well Now I dO) but I was trying to express what a special sort of a role you play in bringing music that we would otherwise never get to hear to this area.
Is great to be able to mix with the likes of Strollin and Gwenda and Terry and Jk and Stitherum(Mr&Mrs) and even Plonky,Twangly, flutey and mello cello chick (WWW)
And all the others who I am sure couldnt give a monkeys if I dont mention them here.
To use the cold and unpleasant new speak of this green and pleasant land of ours,
you provide a great "resource" for us music lovers, and hope you continue to do so for a long long time.
